Standard v short throw camera

Full details and images on our support site here.

Short version - Short throw camera allows you to use a smaller space, like 10x20' or easier when you plan to relocate the simulator often. If you have a large space like a basement or office space or can ceiling mount, usually a standard throw is plenty.

Tech speak - standard throw camera ratio is 1:1.6 whereas the short throw camera ratio is 1:0.5.  Which means, if your screen size is 10x10' your standard throw camera & projector need to be approx 16' from the screen. Whereas with the short throw, you can be approx 5' away from the screen. Since the shooter would be behind the camera and projector, using the short throw will leave you with more space to stand using the same size screen.

Another advantage of the short throw is that it has an external filter that allows the shooter to use a red filter or an Infrared (optional, not included) filter to assist with harsh lighting conditions.

ALLEN V. Verified Customer

Been shopping with Laser Ammo for almost 10 years, great products, great service and support. They have made a significant and positive impact on our Emergency Response Team (ERT) readiness and skill level, as we train and prepare for a "worse" case scenario.

Reply from laserammo.com

Thank you so much Allen. We are so glad that your ERT has seen improvement for your benefit and that of your community. We also appreciate your loyalty! We are here should you ever need anything. ~Kristen

From what I have seen the IR flashes and counts on P1, but does not show where you hit. The red laser shows where you hit, but does not count on P1. Is that correct? See more »

The only difference between our SureStrike laser (IR v Red) is the IR can not be seen by the human eye, but the red you can. Both will activate the targets when hit.
Red = visible; Infrared/IR = invisible

Hello, Our SureStrike Laser is designed specifically for at-home dry fire training. To ensure the laser functions effectively, the shooter will need to perform a weapon rack after each shot. This action resets the firing pin, allowing the laser to be ready for the next shot. If you're using the SureStrike Laser with a Double Action or Single/Double Action weapon, you'll be pleased to know that continuous training is possible without the need to rack the weapon after every shot. We hope this information helps you make the most of your SureStrike Laser for a seamless and efficient training experience. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to ask. Your satisfaction is important to us… See full answer »

Our lasers are designed to be compatible with various electronic targets. However, I recommend verifying compatibility with the specific target manufacturer for confirmation.
Confirmed... it has been confirmed to work with our red lasers

The SureStrike™ laser is made in Israel, built from a stainless steel body, a high quality glass lens laser and a programed controlled action cap - that allows a minimum of 5K shots which can easily be replaced when needed.

I have a hard time getting the laser cartridge out of my Glock after using. Are there any suggestions as to how to make removal easier? See more »

I have used a long "q-tip" from a cleaning kit to push it out... similarly a dowel that is just smaller than your barrel, just be careful not to damage the laser.. but those are good options.
