Great product. Works well for practicing single shots or reloads. If anyone is wondering, this does work with the smart laser cartridge as well.

The Smokeless Range does require the camera that comes with the purchase but we do have many users that use the Smokeless Range with their golf simulator.

Depending on the screen size we recommend to shoot anywhere up to 30ft from the screen as long as you are behind the camera and projector.

Keep in mind that the short throw camera versus the standard throw camera allows for the camera/projector to be closer to the screen.

Does this work with sirt pistols See more »

Yes, the SIRT pistol is compatible with the Smokeless Range but only in Red/IR. Green lasers will not work.

Our Smokeless Range works best, and designed to work with a projector and screen. Your screen may be a flat white wall.
With that being said, with the proper set up, it can be used with a flatscreen TV as noted in link with more info.
Let us know if you have further questions.

That projector would not be recommended because the lumens are below minimum requirements and the throw ratio is different than the short throw camera.

Can the sim be downloaded to a portable hard drive to save space on the PC? See more »
10 months ago
Yes and no, if you originally store it on a portable hard drive it will work. However, the license will not be able to be moved to a new computer if something were to happen to that hard drive so it is not recommended.

The only camera that is required with any of our products, is the camera that comes with the purchase of the Smokeless Range. It comes with the standard camera or you can upgrade to the short throw camera. Learn more about the differences between the standard throw and short throw camera.

What's the recommend distance for a standard throw vs short throw camera? See more »
10 months ago
The standard throw has a throw ratio of 1.6 and the short throw has a throw ratio of .5.

The distance will depend upon the screen/image size, your projector and the camera (which is part of your question). Your throw ratio, as noted above is explained a little more down the page on this link, scroll down to Consider The Throw Ratio to learn more.
