Like having an electronic skills trainer (EST) in your living room

I'm active duty military. I was looking for a product I could use to train marksmanship to my Soldiers without going to the range or booking time at the local EST 2000. For those who don't know, an EST 2000 is an electronic range. The weapons use compressed air to simulate recoil. It's the best way to train marksmanship without shooting live rounds. It's a great tool but it's high in demand and getting time on it can be tough. This rifle looks, feels, and shoots exactly like the weapons at the EST. Yes, exactly. I was shocked. Authentic look, feel, and recoil. I basically have an EST in my living room now at a fraction of the cost, and I can train my Soldiers without ever having to leave our building. And instead of doing silly dime-washer drills, we can train with an actual recoil weapon. One last note: the magazines use airsoft green gas. One charge of gas will get you about sixty shots, so you can fire a lot of rounds on just one can. If you want to train with standard loads (30 rounds), you'll have to half-fill the magazines. This will take some trial and error but you'll figure it out. Otherwise, just light it up. Oh, both semi-auto and full-auto work exactly like they're supposed to. This is an AR-15 in everything but the live ammo. Final note: this is not an endorsement by the DoD. I bought this with my own money, and the opinion above is mine alone.

Wow, this is an amazing review Enes. We appreciate the time you took to provide this in depth explanation and we are so happy that you can train, personally, and your soldiers at a fraction of the cost. ~Kristen

The projector for our Smokeless Range needs to be compatible with the type of camera - Standard Throw v Short Throw camera. We have put together some specs & requirements for choosing a projector here. Should you have further questions, feel free to reach out to Support.

The Smokeless Range does require the camera that comes with the purchase but we do have many users that use the Smokeless Range with their golf simulator.

What would be the closest and the furthest? See more »

Depending on the screen size we recommend to shoot anywhere up to 30ft from the screen as long as you are behind the camera and projector.

Keep in mind that the short throw camera versus the standard throw camera allows for the camera/projector to be closer to the screen.

Yes, the SIRT pistol is compatible with the Smokeless Range but only in Red/IR. Green lasers will not work.

Our Smokeless Range works best, and designed to work with a projector and screen. Your screen may be a flat white wall.
With that being said, with the proper set up, it can be used with a flatscreen TV as noted in link with more info.
Let us know if you have further questions.

That projector would not be recommended because the lumens are below minimum requirements and the throw ratio is different than the short throw camera.

Here is more info on choosing a projector.

Yes. You would just purchase our Flash Bolt laser that allows you to use your rifle/pcc and continuous "shots".

What's the recommend distance for a standard throw vs short throw camera? See more »
7 months ago
The standard throw has a throw ratio of 1.6 and the short throw has a throw ratio of .5.

The distance will depend upon the screen/image size, your projector and the camera (which is part of your question). Your throw ratio, as noted above is explained a little more down the page on this link, scroll down to Consider The Throw Ratio to learn more.
