Using the pipe together with the red nut, will add a visual indication that the gun is safe, will occupy the chamber not to allow any live ammo, and when using with any of the adapter rings, will align the SureStrike Laser cartridge in place for 100% accuracy.
The SureStrike™ long safety pipe is made to fit all handguns with barrels from 2.8 to 3.5” inches.
A safety pipe (short, long, or subcompact- depending on barrel length) should be used with all pistol caliber adapter rings: .40S&W, 45ACP, 45GAP, 10mm and 357sig!
You do not need a safety pipe for revolvers and shotguns.
Additional sized safety pipes available. The short safety pipe is standard issue and is included in all SureStrike™ kits.
All our safety pipes are made from Aluminum with O-rings install on them, and can not harm in any way the barrel.

I knew exactly what I was looking for but I really liked the variety they have. I wish I had read commonly asked questions first before finalizing my order as I would have went with the red laser rather than the IR but that was my mistake. I have yet to use the product but everything was received as planned. I plan using this item to improve my issues with recoil for my Skills training. Overall a very smooth ordering/receiving process from start to finish.

Glad that you found the Q&A helpful, sorry that you feel that it was a little too late. I'm sure you will find out that the IR will still provide you a lot of training options, especially if you have any of our targets. Sometimes looking for where you hit can be a poor habit, versus looking at the front sights. Either way, you are doing better than most and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
