The projector for our Smokeless Range needs to be compatible with the type of camera - Standard Throw v Short Throw camera. We have put together some specs & requirements for choosing a projector here. Should you have further questions, feel free to reach out to Support.

The Smokeless Range does require the camera that comes with the purchase but we do have many users that use the Smokeless Range with their golf simulator.

What would be the closest and the furthest? See more »

Depending on the screen size we recommend to shoot anywhere up to 30ft from the screen as long as you are behind the camera and projector.

Keep in mind that the short throw camera versus the standard throw camera allows for the camera/projector to be closer to the screen.

Our Smokeless Range works best, and designed to work with a projector and screen. Your screen may be a flat white wall.
With that being said, with the proper set up, it can be used with a flatscreen TV as noted in link with more info.
Let us know if you have further questions.

You can run two shooters at a time in the Smokeless Range.

What's the recommend distance for a standard throw vs short throw camera? See more »
7 months ago
The standard throw has a throw ratio of 1.6 and the short throw has a throw ratio of .5.

The distance will depend upon the screen/image size, your projector and the camera (which is part of your question). Your throw ratio, as noted above is explained a little more down the page on this link, scroll down to Consider The Throw Ratio to learn more.

That will depend on which camera (standard or short throw) you choose and the size of the screen you have (we recommend 8ft to 12ft wide). The difference is the throw ratio. The standard throw has a throw ratio of 1.6 while the short throw is .5. What this affects is the camera placement to the screen. If you have a 8ft wide screen the standard camera will be placed about 12.8 ft away from the screen (1.6 x 8ft) while the short throw will be 4ft back from that same screen (.5 x 8ft). The benefit of the short throw is it is able to be used in smaller training areas since you need to be behind the camera to train.
